Overview
In this workshop, the aim is to bring together internationally renowned mathematicians and physicists who are interested in the area of intertwining to share and discuss the latest advancements and brainstorm new ideas. Intertwining, or more broadly classification schemes of operators, has borne fruit in diverse areas including but not limited to Markov chains, statistical physics, analysis, functional inequalities, and interacting particle systems, random matrices, operator algebra, quantum mechanics, scattering theory, group theory, etc.
Activities
IMS is closed on 9 August, National Day public holiday.
Details of the mini-courses:
Persi Diaconis: An Introduction to Intertwining via Strong Stationary Duality
Cristian Giardina: Duality of Markov Processes: a Lie Algebraic Approach
Laurent Miclo: On Set-Valued Intertwining Duality for Diffusion Processes
